İran raket zərbəsi: BƏƏ-dəki Avstraliya bazasında yanğın oldu

A fire broke out near an Australian military base in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following a missile strike originating from Iran.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese confirmed the incident, noting that the fire was triggered after an Iranian missile landed in the vicinity of the military installation.

In a statement to journalists, Prime Minister Albanese clarified that while the missile struck close to the facility, there were no casualties among Australian military personnel. He noted that the resulting fire caused minor damage to a residential building and a medical facility on the site. The Prime Minister added that the missile impacted a road leading to the base, which ignited the blaze. He did not specify the exact number of personnel present at the time or whether representatives from other nations were affected.

The incident occurs amid heightened regional tensions involving Iranian missile activities and the security of international military assets in the Middle East. Australia maintains a strategic presence in the UAE as part of its broader commitment to regional stability and logistics support for operations in the Middle East. The UAE serves as a critical hub for international coalition forces, hosting various foreign military detachments focused on counter-terrorism and maritime security efforts.
