Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the annual results of the country's defense industry during a meeting of the commission on military-technical cooperation held in Moscow. According to the head of state, Russia earned more than $15 billion from the export of military products in 2025.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Russian leader emphasized the successful fulfillment of all military-technical contracts. Putin noted that these objectives were achieved reliably despite increasing pressure and attempts by Western countries to obstruct such activities. During the past year, Russian-made military products were delivered to more than 30 countries worldwide.
The President underlined that the revenues generated provide additional opportunities for the modernization of defense industry plants, the expansion of production capacities, and investment in advanced scientific research.
The Russian defense industry remains one of the largest sectors of the country's economy, traditionally focusing on the export of air defense systems, fighter jets, and armored vehicles. This development comes at a time of shifting global geopolitical dynamics, where Russia continues to maintain its position as a major global arms supplier. In Azerbaijan, officials closely monitor regional military-technical developments as part of the broader security landscape in Eurasia.
