President Ilham Aliyev visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan on March 4 to express his condolences over the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei and numerous civilians.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of state was received by the Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchilu. During the visit, the President signed the book of condolences, expressing his deep sympathy to the government and people of Iran.
Following the signing, President Ilham Aliyev held a conversation with the Ambassador. The President noted that he would always remember his meetings with Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei during his visits to Iran with the fondest impressions.
