President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree allocating 258 million manats to accelerate the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The funds are designated for various infrastructure, energy, and social projects across the region.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the budget allocation will support critical initiatives, including the completion of the Tivi Hydroelectric Power Station, the renovation of 420 kilometers of roads, the construction of a 1,000-bed dormitory at Nakhchivan State University, and the modernization of public transport and heating systems. The Cabinet of Ministers and relevant ministries have been tasked with overseeing the implementation of these projects.

Nakhchivan holds a strategic position in the economic, political, and cultural life of Azerbaijan. In recent years, the government has prioritized the region's development through comprehensive state programs, such as the "State Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023–2027." These efforts aim to modernize the agrarian sector, expand green energy capacity, and improve the overall quality of life for residents, reinforcing the region's role in the country's broader economic strategy.
