President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, accompanied by First Lady and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, arrived in the Federal Republic of Germany on February 13 to participate in the Munich Security Conference.
The Azerbaijani delegation was welcomed at the Munich International Airport by high-ranking German officials and representatives of the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission. During the visit, President Ilham Aliyev is expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings with heads of state and government, as well as leaders of international organizations, to discuss regional security, energy cooperation, and the normalization process in the South Caucasus.
The Munich Security Conference (MSC) is the world's leading forum for debating international security policy. Established in 1963, the annual event serves as a platform for high-level discussions on current and future security challenges. Azerbaijan's participation in the conference underscores the country's strategic role in ensuring European energy security and its commitment to fostering stability and peace in the Garabagh region and the wider Caspian basin.
