Tehranda yanacaq itkisi: 80 milyon litr yanacaq məhv olub

Approximately 80 million liters of fuel have been lost in Tehran following the destruction of storage tanks.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Tehran Governor Mohammad-Sadegh Motamedian released details regarding the significant fuel loss that occurred earlier this year. The Governor noted that the destruction of storage facilities led to the massive leak, prompting an immediate review of resource management protocols in the capital.

Governor Motamedian called for active public participation in the management of water, electricity, gas, and fuel consumption. He further stated that fuel consumption has decreased by approximately 50 percent, a trend attributed to reduced private vehicle traffic and a shift toward public transportation. Despite the scale of the loss, the Governor confirmed that no gas stations in the city have been forced to close, and authorities are maintaining strict control over the situation to ensure the efficient use of remaining resources.

Tehran, as a major economic and administrative hub, often faces significant pressure on its energy infrastructure due to its large population and industrial demands. Incidents involving fuel storage and distribution highlight the ongoing challenges of maintaining urban utility networks. Regional authorities continue to implement measures aimed at stabilizing the energy sector and promoting sustainable consumption patterns among the city's residents.
