Officers from the Baku City State Traffic Police Department have detained Tarlan Aliyev, the driver of a Tofas-brand vehicle, for operating the car while under the influence of narcotics. The vehicle, which bore the license plate 77-MQ-054, was also found to be lacking proper state registration and was equipped with unauthorized multi-tone sound signals.

According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the driver's behavior during a routine document inspection raised suspicions among officers. Consequently, he was required to undergo a medical examination, which confirmed that Aliyev had consumed illegal substances.

An administrative protocol was filed against the driver in accordance with the relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The case was subsequently referred to the appropriate court, which sentenced Aliyev to 30 days of administrative detention.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan frequently conducts such enforcement operations to ensure road safety and public order. Driving under the influence of narcotics is considered a serious traffic violation in the country, often leading to strict administrative penalties, including license suspension and administrative arrest, to prevent potential accidents and protect citizens.
