Traffic congestion is currently being observed on several major roads across Baku, causing delays for motorists during peak travel times.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an advisory regarding the current road conditions.

As of the latest update, traffic density is reported in the following directions:

  • Baku-Sumgait highway, heading toward the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
  • Ali Mustafayev Street, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Ahmad Rajabli Street to the intersection with Ataturk Avenue;
  • 1st Lake Side Road, heading toward Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue.

Baku, as the rapidly developing capital of Azerbaijan, frequently experiences increased traffic volume during morning and evening rush hours.
