DİN: Polis yağışlı havada gücləndirilmiş iş rejiminə keçdi

Police officers in Baku and Sumgait, as well as other regions across Azerbaijan, have switched to an enhanced work regime due to ongoing rainy weather conditions.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) told Operative Information Center-OMM that police squads have been deployed along streets and avenues to ensure the safety and comfortable movement of citizens.

"Traffic movement is being regulated by the State Road Police, Post Patrol Service, and other relevant personnel. Preventive work is being carried out with both drivers and pedestrians. Assistance is provided to citizens in need to ensure they reach their destinations safely. The coordinated activities of MIA employees to eliminate the consequences of the rain and ensure public safety are ongoing," the statement said.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan regularly shifts to an enhanced mode of operation during adverse weather conditions to prevent traffic accidents and infrastructure disruptions. Such measures typically involve increasing the number of patrols on major highways and urban centers to manage potential flooding or low-visibility risks. The MIA urges citizens to exercise caution, follow traffic regulations strictly, and cooperate with law enforcement officers during these periods of intensified monitoring.
