The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan has strongly condemned the launch of a ballistic missile from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran into the Republic of Turkey.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this was highlighted in an official statement issued by the Ministry of Defense. "We express our solidarity with brotherly Turkey and reaffirm our steadfast support for its security and territorial integrity," the ministry stated.
Azerbaijan and Turkey maintain a deep strategic partnership, often guided by the principle of "one nation, two states." This relationship was further strengthened by the Shusha Declaration signed in 2021, which established a formal framework for military cooperation and mutual defense. Baku's immediate reaction to the incident underscores the regional security bond and the high level of diplomatic and military coordination between the two nations.
