The date and agenda for the next meeting of the extraordinary session of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of the Republic of Azerbaijan have been announced.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the plenary session scheduled for July 7 will address a comprehensive agenda consisting of 17 legislative items.
The items on the agenda include:
- Draft amendments to the laws "On the Approval of the Internal Regulations of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan," "On Public Participation," and "On the Procedure for the Exercise of the Right of Legislative Initiative by Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan" (third reading).
- Draft amendments to the law "On General Education" (third reading).
- Draft amendments to various laws in connection with the implementation of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 340-VIIKQD dated February 2, 2026, "On the Approval of Amendments to the Constitution of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic."
- Draft amendments to the laws "On the Budget System," "On Insurance Activity," and "On the Chamber of Accounts" (second reading).
- Draft amendments to the law "On Customs Tariff" (second reading).
- Draft amendments to the Criminal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure, and the law "On Information, Informatization, and Protection of Information" (second reading).
- Draft amendments to the Merchant Shipping Code, and the laws "On Road Traffic," "On Transport," "On State Duty," "On the List of Items Whose Civil Circulation Is Restricted," "On Automobile Transport," and "On Aviation" (second reading).
- Draft amendments to various laws in connection with the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 307-VIIQD dated December 9, 2025, "On Amendments to the Law 'On Road Traffic'" (second reading).
- Draft law "On Crowdfunding" (first reading).
- Draft amendments to the Civil Code, Criminal Code, Tax Code, Code of Administrative Offenses, and laws regarding state registration of legal entities, the Central Bank, securities markets, licenses, non-cash settlements, anti-money laundering, and payment systems (first reading).
- Draft amendments to the Labor Code, Civil Code, and laws on currency regulation, banking, investment funds, and securities markets (first reading).
- Draft amendments to the Tax Code, Migration Code, and laws on social insurance, customs tariffs, licenses, and public procurement (first reading).
- Draft amendments to the law "On Information, Informatization, and Protection of Information" (first reading).
- Draft amendments to the Tax Code (first reading).

The Milli Majlis serves as the supreme legislative body of Azerbaijan, responsible for adopting laws, ratifying international treaties, and overseeing the implementation of state policies. These extraordinary sessions are frequently convened to address urgent legislative reforms, ensure the alignment of national laws with international standards, and facilitate the ongoing modernization of the country's legal framework.
