According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the agenda for the upcoming meeting includes several critical reports and legislative drafts. A primary focus will be the report from the National Coordinator on Combating Human Trafficking regarding activities in Azerbaijan during 2025. Additionally, deputies will discuss a bill on renaming certain territorial units in the Guba district and consider first-reading amendments to the Law on the Protection of Greenery and the Law on Diplomatic Service.
The Milli Majlis (National Assembly) is the unicameral legislative branch of the government in Azerbaijan, consisting of 125 deputies elected for five-year terms. This session will also involve second readings of significant legislative updates, including regulations on military service and military duty, citizen appeals, and financial leasing. Furthermore, a comprehensive package of amendments affecting the Civil Code, Tax Code, and Competition Code will be deliberated to further align national legislation with modern economic and legal standards in Azerbaijan.
