The Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of the Republic of Azerbaijan is set to hold the final meeting of its extraordinary session on July 14.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova announced the conclusion of the session during today's parliamentary proceedings, noting that the agenda for the upcoming final meeting will be presented shortly.

This session serves as the concluding legislative gathering before the parliament enters its scheduled summer recess. Under the regulations of the Milli Majlis, the legislative body typically observes two recess periods annually: from July 15 to August 30 and from January 1 to January 15. Following the conclusion of the extraordinary session on July 14, deputies will officially begin their summer break, during which regular plenary sessions are suspended until the commencement of the autumn session.

The Milli Majlis plays a central role in the political life of Azerbaijan, serving as the primary legislative body responsible for adopting laws, ratifying international treaties, and overseeing the implementation of state policies. The transition between sessions allows for administrative review and preparation for the upcoming legislative agenda.
