Speculation surrounding the future of former Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has intensified, with new reports linking the Egyptian international to a potential move to Turkey.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing insights from insider Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, the 34-year-old forward is reportedly open to joining the Turkish club Besiktas.
Reports indicate that Salah’s primary condition for a transfer to the Istanbul-based side is an annual salary of 15 million euros. Negotiations between the player's representatives and the club are said to be ongoing, centered primarily on these financial terms.
The Turkish Super Lig has increasingly become a destination for high-profile international players seeking new challenges in the latter stages of their careers. Besiktas, one of the "Big Three" clubs in Istanbul, frequently seeks to bolster its squad with experienced talent to compete for domestic titles and qualify for European competitions, such as the UEFA Europa League or Champions League.
Salah, whose market value is currently estimated at 22 million euros, concluded a significant tenure with Liverpool, where he played from 2017 to 2026. During the previous season, he recorded 12 goals and 10 assists in 41 appearances. As a free agent, his next career move remains a subject of intense interest, with a decision expected in the coming days.
