The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan has conducted a series of comprehensive awareness-raising events across the country to educate the public on safety protocols during emergencies.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Ministry's press service, these initiatives were carried out by various regional centers and specialized departments.
The events, which took place in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, and other regions, involved experts from the State Fire Control Service, the State Service for Control over Small Vessels and Water Rescue, and various regional centers. Key locations included the "Badamdar Hotel & Residences" in Baku, the Dashkasan District Hygiene and Epidemiology Center, and various administrative buildings in Qax, Gabala, Barda, Aghdash, Lerik, Salyan, and Gusar.
These initiatives are part of the Ministry's ongoing strategy to enhance public preparedness for natural and man-made disasters. By fostering a culture of safety and providing practical training on the use of fire extinguishers and emergency response procedures, the Ministry aims to minimize risks and ensure rapid public reaction to potential threats.
During the interactive sessions, participants received detailed information on the classification of emergencies, specific hazards relevant to Azerbaijan, and the importance of the "112" emergency hotline. Practical demonstrations on the use of primary firefighting equipment were also provided, followed by Q&A sessions.
