The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Azerbaijan has organized a series of awareness-raising events across the country to educate the public on safety protocols during emergency situations. These initiatives aim to equip citizens with essential knowledge to respond effectively to natural and man-made disasters.
According to the ministry's press service, as reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, experts from the State Fire Control Service, the State Service for Control over Small Vessels and Water Rescue, and various regional centers conducted these sessions. The events took place in diverse locations, including the Scientific-Research Institute of Medical Rehabilitation in Baku, the Clinical Medical Center in the Nasimi district, and various administrative offices and educational institutions in Ganja, Xachmaz, Astara, Ucar, Mingachevir, Gabala, and Barda.
These educational campaigns are a critical component of the Ministry of Emergency Situations' ongoing strategy to enhance disaster preparedness in Azerbaijan. By conducting interactive sessions that cover the classification of emergencies, specific risks like earthquakes and fires, and the proper use of the "112" emergency hotline, the ministry aims to reduce casualties and property damage. Such proactive measures are vital for fostering a culture of safety and ensuring that citizens are well-informed about immediate actions to take during critical incidents.
