Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has sharply criticized remarks attributed to an Estonian official regarding potential assistance to Ukraine in conducting strikes on Russian territory. The comments follow a widely circulated conversation involving Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus, who posed as Ukrainian officials to speak with Madis Roll, the national security advisor to the Estonian president.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Zakharova condemned the statements, characterizing them as "complicity in a terrorist act." During the recorded conversation, the individual identified as Madis Roll allegedly expressed readiness to coordinate potential Ukrainian strikes targeting St. Petersburg. Zakharova further criticized the Estonian political establishment, alleging that support for such actions is consistent with a stance she claims has existed since the 1990s.

The incident highlights the ongoing tensions between Russia and Baltic states, which have been among the most vocal supporters of Ukraine since the onset of the full-scale conflict in February 2022. Estonia, a NATO member, has consistently advocated for increased military aid to Kyiv. This diplomatic friction is further complicated by recent security concerns in the region, including incidents involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) near the Estonian border, which have prompted discussions between Tallinn and Kyiv regarding the management and oversight of military operations.
