English football club Leicester City has rejected an initial transfer bid from Arsenal for their 16-year-old winger, Jeremy Monga.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing journalist Gary Jacob, the London-based club offered 5.8 million euros for the young talent, a figure that Leicester City deemed insufficient.
Reports indicate that the "Foxes" have set a significantly higher valuation for Monga, demanding 11.6 million euros for his permanent transfer. Furthermore, the club has stipulated that any future sale of the player must include a 15 percent sell-on clause, ensuring Leicester City benefits from his long-term development.
Jeremy Monga has shown promise during his time with the club, having made 30 appearances across all competitions last season. During these matches, he recorded one goal and two assists, attracting the attention of top-tier Premier League scouts.
The transfer negotiations come at a challenging time for Leicester City. The club finished the 2025/26 season in 23rd place in the Championship, resulting in relegation to the third tier of English football. This decline is particularly stark given that the club famously secured a historic Premier League title approximately a decade ago, a feat that remains one of the most significant achievements in modern English football history.
