The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Deputy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi has stated that United States aircraft carriers are no longer present in the Persian Gulf, having withdrawn 1,000 kilometers from Iran's coastline.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Fadavi made these remarks during a broadcast on Iranian state television. He emphasized that the movement of the naval assets was a direct response to the perceived capabilities of the Iranian military forces.
"We have utilized only a minimum of our power, and the United States was aware of this, which is why they withdrew 1,000 kilometers. The most vulnerable points for the U.S. are its ships. Currently, there are no aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf or within a thousand kilometers of us. The U.S. is creating false signals, but its vessels are much further away than claimed, which demonstrates the full readiness of our forces," Fadavi stated.
The Persian Gulf remains one of the world's most critical maritime corridors, serving as a primary transit route for global oil and gas supplies. Tensions in the region often influence international energy markets and maritime security protocols. This reported shift in naval positioning comes amid ongoing regional geopolitical friction and follows various military exercises conducted by regional powers to demonstrate defensive readiness in the strategic waters of the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
