Iran's judicial authorities have ordered the confiscation of assets belonging to dozens of individuals accused of collaborating with Israel and engaging in activities against national security.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the state-affiliated ANA news agency released details regarding the court's decision. The ruling was issued under a recently enacted law that significantly stiffens penalties for espionage and cooperation with Israel. According to official reports, the seized assets are intended to be redirected toward the reconstruction of regions affected by military conflicts.

The report indicates that the majority of the individuals under investigation currently reside abroad, including in the United Kingdom, Germany, Iraq, Turkey, and the United States. Additionally, six individuals targeted by the order are reportedly based within Iran. While the judicial authorities have moved forward with the asset seizures, the report noted that no specific evidence regarding the individual charges has been publicly presented. The move has sparked significant discussion both within the country and among the international community.

This development comes amid long-standing geopolitical tensions between Iran and Israel, often characterized by a shadow war involving cyberattacks, maritime incidents, and allegations of espionage. Tehran frequently accuses dissidents and individuals with international ties of working for foreign intelligence services, particularly Israel's Mossad. International human rights organizations have historically raised concerns regarding the transparency of such judicial proceedings in Iran, often citing a lack of due process in cases involving national security and political charges.
