President Ilham Aliyev and US Vice President James David Vance have concluded an expanded meeting in Baku following their initial private discussions. The high-level talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing key regional issues of mutual interest.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the expanded session included key members of both delegations and followed a restricted-format meeting between the two leaders. During the discussions, the parties emphasized the importance of strategic partnership and the continued development of diplomatic and economic ties between Azerbaijan and the United States.

The visit of the US Vice President to Azerbaijan comes at a significant time for regional diplomacy. As a pivotal energy supplier to Europe and a key player in the South Caucasus, Azerbaijan continues to maintain active diplomatic engagement with Washington. This meeting underscores the commitment of both nations to ensuring stability in the Garabagh region and fostering a sustainable peace agenda in the broader Caspian area. US President Donald Trump has previously signaled a desire to enhance cooperation with Baku across various sectors, including energy security and counter-terrorism initiatives.
