President Ilham Aliyev is expected to deliver a speech at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Plus format meeting in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

It should be noted that President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Kyrgyzstan on August 31 for a working visit to participate in the SCO events.
The SCO, often referred to as the "Shanghai Pact," is a significant Eurasian political, economic, and security alliance. Azerbaijan's engagement with the organization reflects the country's growing role in regional connectivity projects, particularly the Middle Corridor, which links East Asia with Europe. By participating in the SCO Plus format, Azerbaijan aims to strengthen strategic partnerships with member states, focusing on energy security, transport logistics, and regional stability.
