President Ilham Aliyev has underscored the strategic nature of the partnership between Azerbaijan and Slovakia, emphasizing the importance of bilateral cooperation in the reconstruction of the country's liberated territories.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this statement was conveyed in a congratulatory letter sent by President Ilham Aliyev to Slovak President Peter Pellegrini on the occasion of Slovakia's Constitution Day.
"I recall with the warmest impressions your visit to Azerbaijan in July, including our joint visit to the Garabagh region. I highly value Slovakia's participation in the restoration of our liberated territories and consider this a clear example of our friendship and strategic partnership," the President stated.
The head of state expressed confidence that the traditional ties of friendship between Azerbaijan and Slovakia, as well as cooperation on both bilateral and multilateral bases, will continue to expand through joint efforts in line with the interests of both peoples, further strengthening the strategic partnership.
Slovakia has become an increasingly significant partner for Azerbaijan in the post-conflict reconstruction phase. The involvement of Slovak companies in the restoration of liberated areas, particularly in the Garabagh region, aligns with Azerbaijan's broader strategy of engaging international partners in the massive infrastructure projects currently underway, which include the construction of smart villages, energy infrastructure, and the restoration of cultural heritage sites.
