President Ilham Aliyev is scheduled to pay a state visit to Kyrgyzstan to further strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the announcement was made by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adilbek Kasimaliyev, during his reception by President Ilham Aliyev on April 2. Kasimaliyev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan places high value on its relationship with Azerbaijan, which is built on a foundation of brotherhood and mutual respect.
"We attach great importance to your upcoming historic state visit to Kyrgyzstan. It is gratifying that our meeting today confirms the commitment of our countries to deepening cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). I am confident that projects in the fields of trade, transport, and logistics will continue to serve the sustainable development of our states. Indeed, our countries have excellent opportunities in all areas of mutual interest," Kasimaliyev stated during the meeting.
The upcoming visit is expected to bolster the strategic partnership between Baku and Bishkek, particularly in the context of the Middle Corridor and regional integration. In recent years, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan have significantly intensified their diplomatic and economic engagement, establishing a High-Level Strategic Council and launching a joint investment fund to support infrastructure and industrial projects. This visit underscores the growing importance of Central Asian and Caucasian cooperation within the Turkic world.
