Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, has expressed his gratitude to the media representatives who covered the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Cairo, Egypt.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Hajiyev highly appreciated the tireless efforts of journalists, camera operators, and photographers who worked long hours to provide rapid and comprehensive coverage of the event. "It was a very difficult and laborious task. You were active every day from early morning until evening, promptly delivering reports. We followed and anticipated all of your coverage," Hajiyev said, also welcoming the growing number of young professionals entering the Azerbaijani media landscape.
The World Urban Forum, established by the United Nations in 2001, is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. Azerbaijan's active participation in WUF13 highlights the country's ongoing commitment to sustainable urban development, particularly within the framework of the massive reconstruction and smart-city projects currently being implemented in its liberated territories, including Garabagh.
