Azerbaijan issues weather warning for strong winds and rain

On August 26, the weather in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula is expected to be variably cloudy and predominantly rainless. According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, which provided the update to the Operative Information Center-OMM, a north wind will occasionally strengthen throughout the day.

Temperatures in the capital are forecast to range between 22-26°C (71.6-78.8°F) at night and 29-32°C (84.2-89.6°F) during the day. Atmospheric pressure will be 760 mm Hg, with relative humidity levels expected to fluctuate between 70-80% at night and 50-60% during the day.

Across the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather is generally expected to remain dry. However, meteorologists anticipate intermittent rain in some mountainous and foothill areas during the day. There is a possibility of short-term heavy showers accompanied by lightning in isolated locations. Fog is expected in some mountainous areas during the night and morning hours, while an easterly wind may occasionally intensify in certain regions.

Temperatures in the regions are forecast to reach 21-26°C (69.8-78.8°F) at night and 32-37°C (89.6-98.6°F) during the day. In mountainous areas, temperatures will range from 15-20°C (59-68°F) at night to 22-27°C (71.6-80.6°F) during the day.

The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors weather patterns across Azerbaijan to provide timely warnings, ensuring public safety and assisting agricultural sectors in managing climate-related risks.
