A serious incident occurred in northern France when a driver deliberately drove a vehicle into a group of pedestrians in front of a railway station.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the incident was recorded at approximately 22:15 local time. Preliminary reports indicate that the driver intentionally targeted the pedestrians following a dispute and altercation that took place in the area shortly before the collision.
The city police department stated that all victims are men between the ages of 17 and 40. The driver, who fled the scene immediately after the incident, was apprehended by police in the town of Ouistreham, located approximately 20 kilometers away.
Authorities identified the suspect as a 26-year-old of Russian origin. Initial investigative findings suggest the individual was not under the surveillance of intelligence agencies and had no prior criminal record beyond minor traffic violations.
