Zenit St. Petersburg has submitted an official transfer bid for Fenerbahce's Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing foreign media outlets, that the Istanbul-based club has not yet responded to the offer from the Russian side.
The 28-year-old forward joined Fenerbahce in July 2024, signing a contract that remains in effect until the end of June 2029. According to the Transfermarkt portal, En-Nesyri's current market value is estimated at 22 million euros. During the current Super Lig season, the Moroccan striker has become a key asset for his team, scoring 7 goals in 15 appearances. He is also a prominent member of the Morocco national team, having earned 92 caps and scoring 25 goals.
Reports indicate that Zenit is not the only club pursuing the striker; Italian giants Juventus and Spanish side Sevilla are also closely monitoring the situation. It is reported that Juventus has agreed to a potential loan deal in January 2026 with a purchase option ranging between 20 and 25 million euros. However, Fenerbahce has reportedly set the asking price for the forward between 25 and 35 million euros. Notably, Youssef En-Nesyri previously transferred from Sevilla to Fenerbahce for a fee of 19.5 million euros.
The pursuit of high-profile talent like En-Nesyri highlights the competitive nature of the international transfer market during the mid-season window. Fenerbahce, currently competing for the Turkish league title, faces a strategic decision on whether to retain their leading scorer or capitalize on the significant financial interest from major European and Russian clubs. A final decision regarding the transfer is expected to be reached in the coming weeks.
