The 19-year-old Brazilian star Endrick, who was loaned from Real Madrid to Lyon, has shared candid insights regarding his new adventure in France and his future objectives in an interview with Téléfoot.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the young striker discussed both his ambitions on the pitch and the psychological burdens that come with achieving fame at a very early age.
Although Endrick is currently competing for Lyon, Madrid remains at the center of his long-term career plans. “I hope that one day I will reunite with Vinicius and Mbappe to win the Champions League and other titles. For now, I want to achieve great things at Lyon and, God willing, head to the World Cup with the Brazilian national team,” the forward stated.
The young talent noted that his teammates at Real Madrid played a significant role in his decision to join the French side. Kylian Mbappe and Eduardo Camavinga informed him that Ligue 1 is a physically aggressive and beneficial league for development. They strongly recommended Lyon, emphasizing that the club operates like a large family.
Endrick also touched upon the mental toll of global stardom. “Young people who think fame only has positive sides are mistaken. For me, it is one of the most difficult things to manage. Every moment of my life is under the spotlight. I hope that one day I can enjoy my life quietly,” he added.
Endrick, who joined Real Madrid from Palmeiras, is considered one of the brightest prospects in world football. His move to Lyon on loan is seen as a strategic step by the Spanish giants to ensure the player receives consistent playing time in a competitive European league. Historically, Lyon has been a prominent platform for Brazilian talent, having hosted legendary figures such as Juninho Pernambucano and Sonny Anderson, which adds further significance to Endrick's developmental stint in France.
