A farewell ceremony is being held today in Iran for the country's former supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, who was killed on February 28 following airstrikes conducted by the United States and Israel.
This was reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Iranian media sources.
The ceremony is attended by heads of state and official representatives from numerous foreign nations. An official delegation from Azerbaijan is also participating in the proceedings to pay their respects.
Iranian authorities had previously announced that delegations from more than 30 countries were expected to attend the event.
Ali Khamenei, who served as the supreme leader of Iran for decades, played a central role in shaping the country's domestic and foreign policy.
