Donald Tramp Kuba üzərində nəzarət planlarını açıqladı

US President Donald Trump announced during a press conference in Florida that Washington is discussing several scenarios regarding Cuba, including the establishment of control over the island.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that a video recording of his conversation with journalists was broadcast by Fox News.

Responding to a question about a potential agreement with Havana, US President Donald Trump stated that whether the process is friendly or not is irrelevant. According to him, Cuba is currently facing severe economic and humanitarian challenges. "It could be friendly, or it could be unfriendly. It doesn't matter, because they are really at the end of the rope. They have no energy, they have no money. They are in a deep humanitarian crisis, and we don't want to see that," the US President said.

The American leader noted that the complex situation on the island makes an agreement inevitable. US President Donald Trump added that the Cuban authorities will either agree to a deal or the United States will facilitate a change of government with equal ease. This statement comes as Cuba continues to struggle with nationwide power outages and a deteriorating infrastructure that has sparked rare public protests across the nation.

Historically, relations between the United States and Cuba have been characterized by decades of tension, primarily defined by the comprehensive economic embargo imposed by Washington since the early 1960s. While the Obama administration initiated a brief period of normalization, US President Donald Trump has consistently maintained a firm stance, emphasizing the need for democratic reforms and the protection of human rights on the island as prerequisites for any significant diplomatic shifts.
