Lokomotiv Moscow forward Dmitri Vorobyov is set to officially join Krasnodar in the coming days, marking a significant return to his former club. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, negotiations regarding the transfer of the 28-year-old Russian national team player have been successfully concluded.
Citing reports from the "Mutko protiv" Telegram channel, the parties have reached an agreement on the financial terms of the deal. It is reported that Krasnodar will pay a transfer fee of 7 million euros to secure the striker's services.
Sources indicate that the personal intervention of Krasnodar owner Sergey Galitsky played a pivotal role in finalizing the agreement. Following direct discussions with the club's management, the transfer was successfully resolved.
It is worth noting that Dmitri Vorobyov is a product of the Krasnodar academy, though he previously made only one appearance for the club's main squad. During the last season, the forward demonstrated strong form, recording 12 goals and 7 assists in 34 matches for Lokomotiv Moscow, a performance that likely prompted his return to his formative club.
