Lokomotiv Moscow forward Dmitry Vorobyov is nearing a move to FC Krasnodar, according to recent reports. The transfer would see the 28-year-old striker join the club that currently holds the title of Russian Premier League vice-champions.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing insider Ivan Karpov, negotiations between the two clubs are in the final stages. Reports indicate that Vorobyov is set to sign a long-term contract with Krasnodar that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2030. Although other major Russian clubs, including Spartak Moscow and CSKA Moscow, had previously expressed interest in the player, those potential moves did not materialize.
Dmitry Vorobyov has demonstrated strong form during the 2025/26 season, recording 12 goals and 7 assists across 34 appearances in all competitions. The specialized football data portal Transfermarkt currently estimates his market value at 6 million euros. FC Krasnodar, known for its modern infrastructure and youth academy, continues to strengthen its squad as it aims to challenge for the Russian Premier League title.
