The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has issued a special appeal to citizens and tourists planning to celebrate the upcoming Novruz and Ramazan holidays in Garabagh.

According to information provided by the MIA to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the appeal emphasizes the necessity of maintaining public order and safety during the festive period. "Dear compatriots and foreign guests visiting the liberated territories during the Novruz and holy Ramazan holidays! To ensure the holidays are spent in a joyful and peaceful atmosphere, police officers are working in an intensified mode, implementing all necessary measures to ensure security. Citizens can further strengthen this stability through responsible behavior," the statement reads.

The ministry underscored that registering on the relevant portal in advance is mandatory for free and unhindered travel to Garabagh. Those traveling by private vehicles must strictly adhere to designated routes and are prohibited from deviating from established paths. Furthermore, the transportation of flammable and explosive substances into the territory is strictly forbidden. Citizens are advised to visit only designated recreational areas and to demonstrate exemplary behavior to avoid any incidents that could disturb public peace in the picturesque corners of Garabagh.

The restoration of travel to these regions follows the liberation of Azerbaijani territories from decades of occupation. Since the end of the 2020 conflict, the government of Azerbaijan has undertaken massive reconstruction projects under the "Great Return" program. Due to the lingering threat of unexploded landmines and ongoing infrastructure work, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other state agencies maintain strict entry protocols to ensure the safety of every visitor entering the Garabagh and East Zangazur economic regions.
