Iran has authorized several Chinese vessels to transit through the Strait of Hormuz.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) released information regarding the movement of Beijing-owned ships. According to the statement, the passage of the vessels commenced on Tuesday following the conclusion of necessary protocol agreements between the relevant maritime authorities.
The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the world's most critical maritime corridors, situated between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. As a vital chokepoint for global energy security, it facilitates the transport of approximately one-fifth of the world's total oil consumption daily. This development highlights the ongoing strategic coordination between Iran and China, particularly in the realm of maritime logistics and regional security, reflecting the deepening economic and diplomatic ties between the two nations.
