Jahangir Hasanzade is stepping down from his position as the technical director of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) as part of ongoing structural reforms within the organization.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that AFFA General Secretary Jahangir Farajullayev announced the personnel changes during a press conference following the association's Report Conference. Farajullayev noted that well-known representatives of the football community are being integrated into the management structure. "I would like to mention Bakhtiyar Musayev and Mirbaghir Isayev. Also, today marks Jahangir Hasanzade's final day as technical director. Further changes are expected," the General Secretary stated.
The personnel reshuffle comes at a time when AFFA is undergoing a broader modernization strategy aimed at improving the performance of national teams and enhancing the quality of football infrastructure in Azerbaijan. These reforms follow the recent election of new leadership within the association, signaling a shift toward more transparent and results-oriented management in the country's most popular sport.
