According to the official report, these accidents resulted in the deaths of 21 pedestrians, while 24 others sustained various degrees of physical injuries.

Road safety remains a critical priority for the government in Azerbaijan, which has been implementing modern traffic management systems and infrastructure improvements across the capital. The Intelligent Transport Management Center (NIIM) under the MIA plays a central role in monitoring traffic flow and coordinating emergency responses to reduce the frequency of such incidents. In recent years, Baku has seen significant investments in the construction of new pedestrian crossings and the installation of digital signaling systems to enhance safety on the city's increasingly busy thoroughfares.
