Spanish football giant FC Barcelona has strengthened its squad with a new signing.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Catalan club has officially completed the permanent transfer of 18-year-old Egyptian national team forward Hamza Abdelkarim.

Reports indicate that Barcelona secured the player by activating the release clause in his contract with Cairo-based club Al Ahly. While official figures remain undisclosed, unofficial sources estimate the transfer fee at approximately 1.5 million euros. The parties have signed a contract valid until June 2029.

Hamza Abdelkarim initially joined Barcelona on a loan deal during the winter transfer window earlier this year. Since February, the young striker has been developing within the club's youth academy, where he made a significant impact by scoring 6 goals in 9 appearances, ultimately convincing the coaching staff to finalize his permanent transfer.

FC Barcelona, one of the most successful clubs in world football, has a long-standing tradition of scouting and developing young international talent through its renowned La Masia academy and youth recruitment network. By securing promising prospects like Abdelkarim, the club continues its strategy of investing in future stars to maintain its competitive edge in La Liga and European competitions.
