Weather conditions in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula are expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally gloomy, with rain anticipated in certain areas during the night and evening hours.
According to information provided by the National Hydrometeorological Service to the Operative Information Center-OMM, a north-westerly wind is expected to strengthen periodically before moderating during the day. The air temperature in the capital will range between 8-10°C at night and 11-14°C during the day. In the regions of Azerbaijan, unstable weather conditions are predicted, with intermittent precipitation and snow expected in mountainous territories. There is a high probability of intense rainfall, lightning, and hail in specific districts. Fog is also expected to settle in various locations, while a moderate western wind will intensify occasionally in certain areas throughout the day. Temperatures in the regions will fluctuate between 6-10°C at night and 12-16°C during the day, while mountainous areas will see lows of -1°C to 4°C and highs of 4-7°C.
Seasonal weather fluctuations are common in Azerbaijan during this period, as the country's diverse geography leads to varying climatic conditions across its nine distinct climate zones. The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors these patterns to provide timely alerts for the public and relevant state authorities, ensuring safety and preparedness for sudden changes in wind speed and precipitation levels, particularly in the Absheron Peninsula and high-altitude regions.
