“Close cooperation between diplomacy and the military is the primary guarantor of the country's victory against foreign conspiracies.”
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made these remarks during a meeting with Army Commander Major General Amir Hatami and senior military officials on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Operative Information Center-OMM reports citing the Mehr News Agency. During the meeting, the minister stated that Iran's achievements in the diplomatic arena are directly linked to the high potential and capabilities of the armed forces.
The joint session, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran, focused on coordination issues between the military sphere and the diplomatic apparatus to protect the country's sovereignty and national security.
Abbas Araghchi highly praised the army's dedication and its role in defending the country's territorial integrity. At the conclusion of the meeting, Araghchi briefed the military delegation on the issues discussed during the Muscat talks and reiterated the importance of military-diplomatic unity in defending national interests.
The meeting occurs as Iran commemorates the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, a period often used by the state to showcase its military advancements and strategic alignment. The concept of "field and diplomacy" coordination has become a central pillar of Iranian foreign policy, aimed at strengthening the country's bargaining position in international negotiations. This approach seeks to integrate military deterrence with diplomatic engagement to navigate complex regional dynamics and international pressures.
