US Vice President James David Vance arrived in Azerbaijan on February 10 for an official visit to the capital.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, a guard of honor was lined up in honor of the US Vice President at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, where the national flags of both countries were flying. Vice President James David Vance was welcomed at the airport by Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov and other high-ranking officials.
The visit comes at a significant time for bilateral relations between Baku and Washington. Under the administration of US President Donald Trump, the United States has continued to engage with Azerbaijan on key strategic issues, including regional security, energy diversification, and economic cooperation. This high-level visit is expected to include discussions on the further strengthening of diplomatic ties and the ongoing peace process in the South Caucasus region, reflecting Azerbaijan's growing role as a pivotal logistical and energy hub between Europe and Asia.
