New figures have been released regarding the financial cost of military operations conducted by the United States against Iran.
According to the "Iran War Cost Tracker" platform, Washington has spent more than $85 billion on military operations within a 79-day period, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.
The data indicates that since the commencement of these operations, the administration of US President Donald Trump has allocated substantial funds to finance large-scale military activities in the region. The calculations reportedly include personnel maintenance, the deployment of naval vessels to the area, logistics, and other related operational expenses.
The disclosed figure is approximately three times higher than the $29 billion estimate previously cited by Jules Hurst, the acting head of the Pentagon's finance department. This discrepancy highlights the intensifying scale of the regional mission and the significant logistical burden associated with sustained military readiness.
Military spending of this magnitude typically encompasses a wide range of strategic assets, including carrier strike groups, advanced missile defense systems, and increased intelligence surveillance. Historically, US military engagements in the Middle East have required complex budgetary adjustments and supplemental funding to maintain long-term stability and strategic deterrence in the region.
