The United States has launched one of the most significant financial operations in its history against Iran. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated in an article published by the Financial Times that Washington has entered the final phase of its conflict with Tehran.
Bessent noted that under the leadership of US President Donald Trump, American armed forces have delivered significant blows to Iran's military potential and nuclear program. According to reports, the US initiated a large-scale financial pressure campaign against Iran starting on the morning of August 24. The Secretary characterized this move as the culmination of Washington's struggle against Tehran, referring to the process as an "economic D-Day."
In response, a spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hoseyn Mohabbi, announced that Tehran has prepared contingency plans to counter any hostile actions by the United States. The Iranian side also stated that it has developed specific scenarios to minimize the impact of the new sanctions on the country's economy.
