The schedule for non-working days and official holidays in Azerbaijan for 2026 has been established, providing a framework for citizens to organize their professional and personal schedules. According to the Labor Code and relevant decisions by the Cabinet of Ministers, several holidays and commemorative dates are designated as non-working days throughout the year.

The official list of non-working days for 2026 is as follows:

January 1, 2 – New Year's Day;

In accordance with the Labor Code and the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, for a five-day work week in 2026, March 9, 25, 26, 27, and 30, May 11 and 29, and November 10 will be rest days. For a six-day work week, March 25 and 26, May 29, and November 10 are designated as rest days. The year 2026 consists of 365 calendar days, with February having 28 days.

The annual norm for working hours in 2026 for a 40-hour work week is set at 1,922 hours. Under Azerbaijani legislation, the duration of daily normal working hours cannot exceed eight hours, and as a rule, a five-day work week with two days off is established. On the eve of holidays and the National Day of Mourning, the duration of the work day is shortened by one hour for all weekly work schedules.

These regulations are essential for maintaining transparency in labor relations and ensuring the efficient organization of work time across the country. The established dates serve as a mandatory guideline for both employers and employees in Azerbaijan for the calculation of working hours and the determination of rest periods. The holiday calendar reflects Azerbaijan's commitment to honoring its national history, cultural traditions, and significant milestones, such as the restoration of territorial integrity celebrated on Victory Day.
