Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz has emphasized the importance of responsible conduct by the media and the public in the ongoing process of eradicating terrorism in the country.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Yilmaz made these remarks during his speech at the 11th Anadolu Media Awards ceremony.
Yilmaz urged society and media organizations to remain vigilant against potential provocations and disinformation attempts. "It is of great importance for politics, the media, and our people to act with a shared sense of responsibility for the successful outcome of this process. We have entered a highly sensitive period. We expect everyone who conveys messages to the public, especially media members, to pay special attention to the language they use and the impact they create," Yilmaz stated.
The Anadolu Media Awards, which recognize excellence in journalism and broadcasting across Turkey, serve as a significant platform for highlighting the role of media in national discourse. The awards ceremony, held at the Presidential Complex, saw the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) receive three prestigious accolades.
