Turkey is preparing to host the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government, a significant event in global diplomacy. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, US President Donald Trump will visit Ankara at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The two-day visit will focus on discussions regarding defense, trade, investment, and strategic cooperation between Turkey and the United States. Leaders are expected to exchange views on pressing regional and global issues.

On the first day of the visit, President Trump's primary engagement will be at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, where he will be officially welcomed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, followed by a one-on-one meeting between the two leaders.

The second day will center on the NATO Summit proceedings. President Trump is scheduled to participate in the official welcoming ceremony for leaders, join the traditional "family photo" session, and attend the NATO Leaders' Working Session.

The NATO Summit serves as a critical platform for member states to address collective security challenges, reinforce the alliance's unity, and discuss strategic responses to evolving geopolitical threats. Established in 1949, NATO remains the cornerstone of transatlantic security, and summits of this nature are pivotal for coordinating the policies of its 32 member nations.

In addition to the main summit agenda, the US President is expected to hold several bilateral meetings. Reports indicate that President Trump will hold separate discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Syrian President Ahmad Shara.

At the conclusion of the visit, President Trump will hold a press conference to provide statements regarding his engagements in Ankara and the outcomes of the NATO Summit before departing for Washington.
