Milikh Ilkhananovich Yevdayev has been awarded the 1st-degree Order "For Service to the Fatherland."
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to this effect.
Under the decree, Milikh Ilkhananovich Yevdayev received the 1st-degree Order "For Service to the Fatherland" in recognition of his long-term, effective contributions to the public life of Azerbaijan.
Milikh Yevdayev serves as the chairman of the Baku Religious Community of Mountain Jews. This community represents one of the oldest Jewish groups in the Caucasus, and Yevdayev has long been a prominent figure in promoting interfaith dialogue and multiculturalism in Azerbaijan, a country widely recognized for its model of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence among different ethnic and religious groups.
