Pakistan on Tuesday strongly condemned the missile and drone attacks targeting civilian infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed full solidarity with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in a statement shared on the X social media platform. The Prime Minister stated that Pakistan stands firmly with the people and government of the UAE during this challenging period, emphasizing that such attacks on civilian areas are unacceptable.
The Prime Minister further stressed that maintaining a ceasefire is essential to opening avenues for diplomacy. He noted that dialogue remains the only viable path toward achieving lasting peace and stability in the region. Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to the security and territorial integrity of the UAE, highlighting the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the two nations.
Pakistan and the UAE share a long history of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of defense, economy, and regional security. The UAE is home to a significant Pakistani diaspora and remains one of Pakistan's key trading partners in the Middle East. This condemnation aligns with Pakistan's consistent diplomatic stance of supporting the sovereignty and security of its Gulf allies while advocating for peaceful resolutions to regional conflicts through diplomatic engagement.
