The electronic transfer process for students in Azerbaijan is set to commence, according to the State Agency for Preschool and General Education (MÜTDA).

The agency informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that the electronic transfer system for the 2026–2027 academic year will be activated on August 20 at 15:00. The process applies to students in grades 2–9 and 11, and all transfers must be conducted through the official sy.edu.az portal.

For citizens without internet access, the agency noted that assistance is available. Parents and guardians may contact the agency’s call centers, local education management divisions, the agency’s Citizen Service Center, or any ASAN Service center for guidance and support.

The implementation of electronic student transfers is part of the broader digitalization strategy within Azerbaijan's education sector. By moving administrative processes online, the Ministry of Science and Education aims to increase transparency, reduce bureaucratic delays, and ensure a more efficient allocation of resources across schools in the country. This system minimizes direct contact between school administrations and parents, thereby streamlining the transition for students moving between educational institutions.
