The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has officially announced the schedule and venues for the upcoming UEFA Conference League playoff matches between the Azerbaijani club Sabah and the Israeli representative Hapoel Beer-Sheva.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the official website of the continental football governing body, the first leg of the tie is scheduled for August 19. The match will take place at the Culeşti Stadium in Bucharest, Romania, and is set to kick off at 23:00 Baku time.
The return leg between the two sides will be held on August 25 at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium in Baku, with the match scheduled to begin at 20:45 local time.
The UEFA Conference League, established in 2021, serves as the third tier of European club football, designed to give more clubs from smaller or emerging football nations the opportunity to compete in continental group stages. For clubs like Sabah, these playoff rounds represent a critical step in gaining international experience and elevating the profile of Azerbaijani football on the European stage.
